  • How long will a new asphalt last?

According to survey results provided by The Spruce, when properly installed and with high-quality materials, asphalt paving will usually last 15 to 20 years.

  • How do I maintain my asphalt?

Professional maintenance is the best way to go. There are plenty of products available to do it yourself but if done wrong, these can actually cause damage. Call the experts at R & R Paving for professional driveway and parking lot paving today!

  • Is there anything I need to do after the paving is done?

The only thing we urge you to do is to avoid driving on the new asphalt for at least 24 hours. Contact our team for regular maintenance to keep your blacktop paving service looking great.

  • When should I replace asphalt pavement?

If your asphalt starts to look gray and has cracks and potholes, you should get the entire surface repaired. Give us a call if you need asphalt paving replacement!

  • How do potholes form?

Potholes in blacktop paving occur when the asphalt is of low quality, too thin in certain areas, or has drainage that weakens at the base.

  • Does leaking oil from vehicles cause damage to the asphalt?

Most oils from vehicles can soften asphalt and will break down the binder. We can help with this issue by providing you with asphalt paving repairs!

  • How long does striping take?

Our asphalt paving contractors claim that this depends on the size of the project and the type of striping. Small projects can take five minutes, while bigger projects can take more than 10 hours.

  • How long does the striping last?

If maintained well, we've found that striping can usually last about a year. With harsher weather conditions, expect to contact our blacktop paving experts to re-stripe more often.

  • When should I re-stripe?

We recommend re-striping when you’ve lost 75% of the original color. If you have harsh weather conditions or more traffic, expect to re-stripe every year. The best time to re-stripe is in the spring. Contact our parking lot paving team today to get on the schedule!

  • What is sealcoating?

Pavement sealers keep the asphalt looking fresh and can extend its life by preventing weather damage and oxidation. Call our team for asphalt paving and sealcoating services!
